TOKYO v2.0
I'm so excited to have had the opportunity to perform in Tokyo once again as part of the flute duo BINARY, with Lina Andonovska. We were invited back by the Tokyo Experimental Festival after being awarded the Grand Prize for our performance there in 2015. What an honour!
This year's program included some new BINARY repertoire, including "Twin Molluscs" by Irish composer Barry O'Halpin, and a new iteration of a work by Aussie composer Stephen Cronin - "Sacrifice", for alto flute We also threw in some of Tom Johnson's "Counting Duets" to provide a thread through the program, and to serve as a brief respite from the flute timbre.
In the meantime I've been busily uploading recordings to my YouTube channel. Most of these have been from my PhD recitals over the past 4 years, so it's a delight to finally be able to share these works with the world now that the assessment has been completed. Below is a selection of works - I'll be uploading more over the next weeks and months.
